Resources include marriage-strengthening programs, marriage-renewal and enrichment events, marriage-barrier reduction education, pre-martial counseling and mentor training.

How We Help Organizations
We serve by providing access to educational information on overcoming traditional marriage barriers like financial problems, domestic violence and unplanned pregnancy. We identify and link you to best practices and resources, enabling you to find solutions that are effective for the individuals and families you serve. In addition utilization of our resources could help promote the welfare of children. Strengthened marriages mean more children benefit from intact families, enabling them to feel more secure… increasing their emotional health.

How We Help Couples/Individuals
We link couples, regardless of where they are in their relationship (dating, happily married or struggling) to the resources they need to have the best marriage possible. Successful marriages are built on more than just love. A healthy marriage is comprised of two individuals who have a mutual respect for each other, honor the commitment they made to each other and use learned skills to strengthen and sustain their marriage. The Healthy Marriage Collaboration provides access to these skills to help couples avoid common pitfalls, enabling couples to reap the benefits of a healthy marriage.

Even if you haven’t found that special someone yet, our resources can help prepare you for a healthy marriage in the future. The Healthy Marriage Collaboration provides access to skills you can use to establish a lasting relationship that is fulfilling, loving and secure.

How We Help Marriage Officials/Clergy
We offer resources to individuals who marry couples (faith-based leaders, military chaplains, justice of the peace) including pre-martial counseling information and the opportunity to sign a Community Marriage Policy (CMP), which outlines initiatives your organization can put in place to strengthen marriages. Community Marriage Policies have been a catalyst for reducing divorce in other communities. Individuals who sign the CMP pledge to provide a number of programs that honor and support marriages including required premarital training, marriage-enrichment opportunities, reconciliation support for couples in troubled marriages and resources for young families and stepfamilies. In addition, we can provide mentor training to individuals within your organization who aspire to be marriage advocates. Trained mentors provide examples of strong marriages to other couples and can assist the leaders of community groups and faith-based organizations in encouraging and strengthening marriages.
